The M Seattle

Transforming the Skyline

At 24-stories The M Seattle is one of the first high-rise towers to be developed in the U-District in nearly 40 years. The luxury high-rise will be the first of its kind for University of Washington Students, with fully-furnished residences and panoramic views of Seattle a short walk away from the University and the light rail.

The building will feature unit types ranging from studios to 4-bedroom, as well as townhome and penthouse residences. The development will also include 5,575 square feet of retail/commercial space, 32 below-grade parking stalls, 63 bike stalls, and an adjacent pocket park. The structure is post-tensioned concrete with a panelized glass skin.

“We chose Katerra/UEB to construct our 24-story tower in the heart of the U-District by the University of Washington in Seattle because they exhibited the type of tenacity, passion and acumen that owners desire from their GC.

Despite it being the first tower in the area in over 40 years that utilized new and complex incentive based zoning, coupled with an incredibly tight sub market and the complications and delays of COVID-19, Katerra did an amazing job constructing a beautiful and clean project ahead of schedule and under budget.

As a result, we are working with them again on our next project which I think says it all.”
